About Duke Stores

Ranked as the sixth largest independently operated college store operation in the U.S., Duke University Stores ranks first in sales per student. Not just a place for textbooks and sweatshirts, Duke Stores manages 14 different retail, book, and office service operations. If you can't make it to campus, you can even do your shopping online.


The Duke Textbook Store offers textbooks, study aids, and periodicals for undergraduate, business. and law courses at Duke. The Duke University Medical Center Store offers textbooks, electronic products, and instruments for Duke Medical Center students, faculty, and staff. The store also stocks course materials and carries a variety of Duke memorabilia, medical uniforms, scrubs, greeting cards, office supplies and other general merchandise. The Gothic Bookstore offers scholarly, reference, computer, and general titles to the Duke University community, worldwide.

Copying & Printing

Duke Stores manages various programs that supply the office technology needs of the University and Medical Center. The Copy Center offers a wide range of copying and printing services. A departmental copier program offers copier leasing through contracts with IKON, Xerox, and Sharp USA. In addition, Duke Stores installs and maintains public copiers throughout campus and the Medical Center. A fax program sells small office equipment and coordinates service contracts through local vendors.


There is no need to go to Best Buy or the Apple Store when the Duke Computer Store has the latest computers, software, and accessories priced with academic discounts. Duke Computer Repair provides warranty repair services on notebook and desktop computers, and both color and monochrome laser printers.


Duke Stores offers a wide variety of retail options from the many unique gift items found at the Nasher Museum Store to the finest garden-related merchandise of the Terrace Shop. If you are in search of hats, sweats, banners, mugs, and everything else Duke, visit the University Store in the Bryan Center. The East Campus Store also carries a selection of clothing and gift items.

Food & Vending

Hungry? Duke has many food options available on campus and in the Medical Center. In addition to all the dining options, there are vending machines available when you're on-the-go. Duke Vending provides a variety of beverage and snack options that can be delivered to Medical Center and University departments. Concessions are available at games and events. Duke Stores also operates three convenience stores on campus to serve the needs of students, faculty, and staff including: The Lobby Shop, located in the Bryan Center on West Campus, Uncle Harry's located on Central Campus, and the East Campus Store, located in the East Campus Union building. Shop online for your grocery needs at Uncle Harry's Online and have it delivered to your office or dorm room.
