Academic Services


MY DUKE is the central web site for access to a student's personal accounts as well as important online news and information, including Events@Duke, TransLoc (bus locator), campus maps and DukeToday/Students. It is mobile-optimized for use on smart phones and tablets.


Students can enroll in classes online via ACES. Students and faculty can also access their coursework online through Sakai or WordPress.

Student Activities

The Events@Duke university-wide calendar is a one-stop source of campus events for all members of the campus community including students. Students can view all student-related events by clicking on the Students category under "Search by category" on the left side of the screen. They can also add events to most personal calendars using either the ShareThis widget or downloading the event to their calendars.

Through Student Affairs and the University Center Activities and Events, Duke students can find services and support to enhance their intellectual, social, cultural and physical development.

Student Services

Students can find assistance with registration and records through the Office of the University Registrar. Information about student accounts is available from the Bursar's Office while assistance with student loans and grants is available through the Financial Aid Office.

Students can purchase supplies through Duke Stores and buy food on campus and delivery from some off campus restaurants with their DukeCard. Medical services as well as counseling and psychological services are also available at any time.

Undergraduate students in the Trinity College of Arts and Sciences can find assistance with advising through the Academic Advising Center. Engineering students can find advising help through the Pratt School of Engineering.


IT services and support are available for the university (including each individual school). The Center for Instructional Technology helps instructors find innovative ways to use technology to achieve their teaching goals, while new and emerging technologies are developed and explored through the Duke Digital Initiative. The Help Desk and on-site centers such as the LINK provide technical assistance.

Student Employment

Undergraduate and graduate students can find off-campus jobs and internship opportunities at the Career Center. On campus student jobs are posted on DukeList.

Disability Management

With Duke's emphasis on diversity we strive to provide all people the same options and accessibility, whether in classrooms, residences & offices or parking. Duke also offers disability assistance in academics or on the web. The Duke University Libraries also provide an extensive array of accessibility resources and information.

Research Administration

Faculty and staff can find resources and administrative support for research through several offices, including the Office of Research Support or the Office of Research Administration. Undergraduates can turn to the Office of Undergraduate Research Support. Corporate & Venture Development is dedicated to facilitating the technology transfer process for intellectual property at Duke while Corporate & Foundation Relations works with faculty and staff to raise funds for priority programs and institutional initiatives.
